Danielle Grabianowski Returns to The Duplex Tonight (6/19/2013) - Danielle Grabianowski, the award-winning singing actress whose performances have been likened to 'Barbra Streisand at the Bon Soir and Bette Midler at the Continental Baths' (Village Voice) makes a return to the club scene in an eclectic, impromptu set of standards, stories and pop tunes. She will perform two shows at The Duplex on Wednesdays, tonight, June 19 and August 28 at 7:00 PM. Grabianowski was last seen as the jazz singer Josephine Grant in the award-winning Off-Broadway sensation, Sleep No More. The evening will also feature longtime collaborator and fellow Buffalo, NY nativeNate Buccieri on piano.

Adam Wade Set for NAT 'KING' COLE REMEMBERED at Stage 72, 6/23 (6/17/2013) - On Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3pm The Just A Piano Concert Series presents one of the greatest performers of all time in tribute to one of the greatest performers of all time, the legendary Adam Wade in Nat 'King' Cole Remembered, featuring Musical Director & Arranger Frank Owens on piano.

Jane Monheit, VOICES OF BROADWAY, Dar Williams and More Set for Usdan Center's 2013 Festival Concerts (6/17/2013) - Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned not-for-profit day camp, whose alumni include such artists as Natalie Portman, Mariah Carey, Jane Monheit and members of major music and dance ensembles, announces its 2013 Festival Concerts. These are private educational performances staged in Usdan's on-site, 1,000-seat McKinley Ampitheater, giving students unique exposure to the arts.

A CABARET FULL OF CAHN ARTISTS Celebrates Sammy Cahn's 100th Birthday at the Iridium Tonight (6/18/2013) - ScoBar Entertainment will present A Cabaret Full of Cahn Artists, a tribute to the great Sammy Cahn on his 100th birthday. Produced by writer Rob Lester, the evening, which consists of two different shows (8 & 10 pm) will benefit Cabaret Scenes Magazine, with all proceeds donated to Cabaret Scenes Magazine, the only print publication of its kind, its website, www.cabaretscenes.org and the non-profit Cabaret Foundation. Associate producer is Stevie Phillips. According to producer Rob Lester, this Centennial 'Cahn-cert' includes special 'Cahn-versations' about Sammy and a 'Cahn-Test' with prizes and a raffle.

Hotsy Totsy Burlesque Presents SHOW BOYS (A Celebration of Show Girls) Tonight (6/18/2013) - A young drifter, Naomi Longtime, arrives in the Big Apple to become a burlesque dancer and soon sets about clawing and pushing and stabbing his way to the top of the New York boylesque community. Can even the good natured, but dim witted, Cherry Pitz put a stop to his misbehavior?

Rosemary Loar's WHEN HARRY MET THE DUKE Plays Encore at Metropolitan Room Tonight (6/18/2013) - Tonight, June 18th, 2013, Rosemary Loar opens an encore run of her critically acclaimed cabaret creation: a show that showcases the genius of songwriting legends, Harold Arlen and Duke Elliington. Special guest, master trumpeter Waldron Ricks, will add to the smokey 1930's jazz club atmosphere of the evening. An inventive force in the cabaret world for over 30 years, last year Rosemary Loar was honored with the 2012 MAC Hanson Award for continuing excellence.

2G: SIXTEEN GOING ON SEVENTEEN Set for Joe's Pub, 6/24 (6/17/2013) - Victor Maog, Artistic Director of Second Generation (2g), a theatre company that puts Asian-American stories on the world stage, announced today that over 30 multi-ethnic artists will be featured in 2G: SIXTEEN GOING ON SEVENTEEN, which will play Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street,on Monday, June 24, at 7pm. The event celebrates SECOND GENERATION (2g)'s 2012-13 season and introduces its commissioned writers.

Nadia Quinn to Headline GAY CAMP Cabaret at Laurie Beechman Theatre, 6/24 (6/17/2013) - Broadway's Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) will be performing her own original comedic songs as part of a one-night-only cabaret titled My Big Gay 'Gay Camp' Talent Show, playing at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Monday, June 24 at 7pm.

Sherie Rene Scott, Norbert Leo Butz & More Set for 54 Below this Week (6/17/2013) - Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events. BWW Reviews: Adelaide Cabaret Fringe GIRL ON THE DRINK: FROM GUTTER TO GLAMOUR IN SATIRE AND SONG Takes Audience on a Journey Out of Darkness (6/17/2013) - Annie Siegmann is performing her latest cabaret performance at the very intimate venue, La Boheme, which ideally suits the even greater intimacy of her production. Siegmann has not touched alcohol for just over six months now, and so this is a very personal, revealing, and often dark tale of her struggle with the demon drink.

BWW Review: Adelaide Cabaret Fringe THE PIANO CHICK: SOLO AND BY REQUEST Tickles the Ivories (6/17/2013) - Becky Blake, who had the great Clemens Leske as one of her piano teachers, began her career, she told us, as a pianist at Adelaide's Hilton Hotel. She is now the pianist and singer with the very popular show band, Chunky Custard, as well as working in solo shows and small groups.

BWW Reviews: Adelaide Cabaret Fringe SONGS ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE Rocked the Cradle (6/17/2013) - Adelaide cabaret stalwart, Libby O'Donovan, takes a very different tack for her latest production, Songs Only a Mother Could Love, a collection of songs that she, and others, learned from their mothers as children. O'Donovan is one of the most highly skilled and much loved of Adelaide's cabaret community and so every seat was filled and a good many more were happy to stand, just to be able to attend her performance.

Westchester Broadway Theatre Hosts Memorial Concert for Dorina DiLullo Tonight (6/17/2013) - A bright light and close friend of the New York theater community, peers and performers will collaborate in a one night only cabaret style performance to honor Dorina Di Lullo, who passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2013 at the age of 44. Survived by her husband Charles J. Richardson and two sons, Charlie and Bennett, all proceeds from this concert will go directly to the Dorina Di Lullo Memorial Trust, set up to lend aid to her children and loved ones in the wake of her passing.

Kevin Bush to Bring OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD to Trustus Theatre, 6/21 (6/15/2013) - The Last Call Series at Trustus has brought the highly popular Plan 9 From Outer Space to the Thigpen Main Stage in 2012. Now it wraps up its season with Kevin Bush's creative cabaret evening Off the Top of My Head this summer. Bush will bring special guests Terrance Henderson, Vicky Saye Henderson, Jason Stokes, and his popular rocking brother Eddie Bush. The show will kick off on June 21, and will be performed one last time on July 12th. Doors open at 10:45pm following the evening performance of Ain't Misbehavin', and the show begins at 11:15pm. Tickets are $15.00 and are sold at the door.
