Will and Anthony Nunziata Set Sights on Feinstein's with Richard Jay-Alexander at the Helm

Up and coming singing sensations (and identical twins) Will Nunziata and Anthony Nunziata, have announced that they will be joining creative forces with popular director Richard Jay-Alexander and equally accomplished musical director Kevin Stites (Les Miserables, Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Sunset Boulevard, Nine) on a new concert/cabaret act to debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in New York City in the Fall.

Anthony Nunziata could hardly surpress his glee regarding the upcoming project as he spoke with us here at BWW, "We are very excited to be working with world-class artists Richard Jay-Alexander and Kevin Stites. It's been our dream to create an original show, and to debut it at Feinsteins in the fall is thrilling. John Iachetti and everyone at Feinsteins have been so welcoming, and we can't wait to get to work!"

Director Richard Jay-Alexander was just as ethusiastic in his comments about the talented twosome when asked how he became involved, "The answer is quite simple, they deserve it", remarked Jay-Alexander who recently guided Betty Buckley's "Broadway By Request" four-week run at Feinstein's at Loew's Regency. Jay-Alexander continued in his praise of the skilled young men, "They are talented, attractive, and at the height of their game, they just need a great act to launch them to where they belong. It also doesn't hurt that Feinstein's owner John Iachetti happens to be a big fan of the Nuziatas and had hoped we'd work together".

The Feinstein's dates are set for Monday September 21st and Monday October 5th, 2009.

According to their "mother", press notes state, Will & Anthony have been singing and dancing since the womb. Throughout their lives, the brothers have enjoyed success as a team in a variety of arenas as two-time Junior National Platform Tennis doubles champions, All-NY State honors in cross country running and tennis, and being the first identical-twins to sing as soloists with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops (all concert appearances were arranged by the President of their alma mater, Boston College.)

Born in Brooklyn and raised just outside of New York City, Will & Anthony continue to share their singing concert act at theaters and concert halls around the country. Their song repertoire includes fresh arrangements from the Classic Standards, Broadway, Italy, and beyond.

They were recent Guest Artists with the Cleveland Pops and Colorado Symphony Orchestras under the conduction of Carl Topilow. Will & Anthony have sung center-stage at Arthur Ashe Stadium during the US Tennis Open, the National Italian American Foundation Gala dinner in Washington DC honoring the late Pavarotti, and Caribbean & European cruise-line tours Headlining their two-man show. Will & Anthony enjoy sharing their talents with charity organizations, most recently with Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the ALS Foundation, New Globe Theatre Benefit Concert, the Malta House Benefit Concert (hosted by Charles Grodin), and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights.

Richard Jay-Alexander began his theatrical career in the original cast of the Broadway play, Zoot Suit, appearing thereafter in the original Broadway cast of Amadeus, which led to his being engaged as Associate Director of the National Touring Companies of that Tony Award-winning play. Jay-Alexander is probably best known for his association with Producer Cameron Mackintosh, having served as Executive Director of Mackintosh's American company for ten years, running its day-to-day operations in North America. Prior to that he had been the stage manager/dance captain of the Broadway revival of Oliver! and stage manager/assistant director of the Broadway production of Song & Dance. Richard served as Associate Director and Executive Producer of the original Broadway, touring and Canadian companies of Les Misérables, staging more than a dozen productions. For Mackintosh The Phantom of the Opera followed, and then Miss Saigon, for which Richard was Executive Producer for the original Broadway, touring and Canadian companies. He also served as Executive Producer and Associate Director for Broadway's Five Guys Named Moe and was Executive Producer of its Grammy-nominated original cast recording. Richard subsequently produced recordings for Bernadette Peters (Live From Carnegie Hall, Rodgers & Hammerstein, both Grammy-nominated), Johnny Mathis (On Broadway) and Mary Cleere Haran (Pennies From Heaven, The Memory of All That). With Jay Landers, he wrote the liner notes for Barbra Streisand's The Movie Album and for her DVD boxed set of The First Television Specials. Also, with Landers and Marco Marinangelli, wrote lyrics for several Walt Disney Records projects, including Lilo and Stitch: Island Favorites. He was appointed Executive Producer of Playbill Records by Philip Birsh and in such capacity, helped to launch the label's debut recording, Brian Stokes Mitchell, as well as the re-discovered Betty Buckley recordings titled (and recorded in) 1967 and Quintessence. Richard has directed concert productions for some of the world's greatest entertainers, including Bernadette Peters, Bette Midler and Barbra Streisand.
