Photo Flash: Metropolitan Room Presents AN EVENING OF VINTAGE YIDDISH VAUDEVILLE

Last night some of New York's most gifted singers, comedians, and novelty performers will bring 2nd Avenue and the Lower East Side of a century ago back to side-splitting, tear-jerking life in "You Don't Have to Speak Yiddish to Understand the Truth!" Playing the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, for one night only, this star-infested revue is produced by Media Blitz Entertainment, and hosted by the biggest star in Yiddish vaudeville today, the emcee Shane Baker. Stephen's life seems to have always revolved around a camera and a piano. He studied at Manhattan School of Music and performed in the "Borsht Belt" during college vacations, where in the true DIRTY DANCING tradition he met his wife Eda. Stephen was a Board Member of the First All Children's Theater and his wife, a classical pianist, is a Board Member of Barrington Stage Co. In between he made time to be CEO of a multi national machinery company and President of a domestic Textile Mfg. Co. In retirement, he now takes pictures of his 5 grandchildren and various other performers.
