Photo Coverage: Brian Stokes Mitchell at Carnegie Hall

Tony-Award Winner and Broadway legend Brian Stokes Mitchell made his solo concert debut at the renowned Carnegie Hall on Monday, October 15, 2007. Proceeds from the one-night-only appearance benefited The Actors Fund, the leading national human services organization that helps professionals in performing arts and entertainment, celebrating its 125th anniversary!

Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander, with Paul Gemignani as conductor and musical director, Brian Stokes Mitchell was joined on-stage by special guests Heather Headley, Phylicia Rashad, Nikki Renee Daniels and Reba McEntire.  Also during the event, Patti LuPone presented the Actors Fund Medal of Honor to John Breglio.

After his life as an ingenue in Brooklyn & Queens, Walter spent the next 25 Years in a leading role as a Photographer / Photo Researcher in Manhattan. He is currently headlining in New Jersey with his partner Richard and children Dali & Gala. As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of "GREASE". His journey on the path to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved. His photography is syndicated worldwide through Retna Ltd. and Corbis.
