LIVE AT THE RRAZZ, San Francisco's premier nightclub, is excited to welcome Patti LuPone to the stage.
In her new, critically-acclaimed concert "Far Away Places," based off her latest solo album, two-time Tony Award winner (Gypsy, Evita) Patti LuPone shares her penchant for wanderlust by taking us on a musical journey with thrilling renditions of songs by an eclectic list of songwriters which include Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Willie Nelson, Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Frederick Hollander and even The Bee Gees. "Far Away Places" was conceived and directed by Scott Wittman with musical arrangements by Joseph Thalken. Chris Fenwick serves as Musical Director.
When "Far Away Places" opened in New York City, The New York Times raved, "Patti embodies decades of show business history. And her brilliant show, conceived and directed by her longtime collaborator, Scott Wittman, deserves many lives, perhaps even a Broadway run in an expanded edition. It certifies Ms. LuPone's place in the lineage of quirky international chanteuses like Lotte Lenya, Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf, who, like Ms. LuPone, conquered show business with forceful, outsize personalities while playing by their own musical rules."
Live at the RRazz takes place at the Historic Cadillac Building, 1000 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, Calif. LuPone will perform tonight, Mar 19, 8:00pm, Wed, Mar 20, 8:00 pm, Thurs, Mar 21, 8:00pm, Fri, Mar 22, 8:00pm, Sat, Mar 23, 7:00pm, Sat, Mar 23, 9:30pm, and Sun, Mar 24, 7:00pm. Tickets on sale soon.
