'Out of The Ensemble' Cabaret Series Opens at The Copper Room at Comix 2/23

Kearns Artist Services and COMIX are thrilled to announce a new cabaret series entitled "Out of the Ensemble" in COMIX's new The Copper Room, located at 353 West 14th Street at 9th Avenue, NYC.

The first performance of this new monthly series will be on Tuesday, February 23 at 8pm and will feature performers from current and past Broadway shows and national tours. This month will feature Sarah Jane Everman (Shrek, Wicked), Raymond J. Lee (Mamma Mia!, Two Gentlemen of Verona), Erin Quill (Avenue Q, The Kind and I National Tour), and Paul Oakley Stovall (Rent National Tour).

The goal of the series is to highlight the talent of the unsung heroes of Broadway shows - members of the Ensemble. For one night, these talented performers will step "out of the Ensemble and into the spotlight" and have an opportunity to perform songs that they love. Each month we will also invite a new performer to sing a song on the bill to give exposure to up and coming talent as well.

Cover is $5 at the door and drink specials will include $5 cocktails and $3 draft beers all night in the The Copper Room.

For more information, visit www.kearnsartistservices.com/oote.html or call 212-524-2500. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Seating is limited.

PERFORMERS FOR FEBRUARY 23, 2010

Sarah Jane Everman has not intentionally gone after shows that would have her playing "Kristin Chenoweth's understudy", but she has successfully made her mark on Broadway and has been Kristin's understudy in three shows: The Apple Tree, Wicked and in the upcoming production of Promises Promises! Additional Sarah Jane's Broadway credits include Wonderful Town and Shrek. She has performed regularly in the Off Broadway series "Encores!" in the shows Applause, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Bye Bye Birdie.

Raymond J. Lee has taken the Internet by storm as Archie Parks in his "Glee Audition" video, which now has over 20,000 hits. Currently Ray is starring as "Eddie" in the Broadway company of Mamma Mia! His past credits include "Applause" at City Center's Encore Series, the title role in the New York Fringe Festival production of "Victor Woo: Average Asian American", and various readings and workshops, including "Shrek" and "Honeymoon in Vegas". He has also produced and directed several Mamma Mia Easter Bonnet and Gypsy of the Year presentations. For more information visit http://www.raymondjlee.com

Erin Quill (Orig. Bway Company Avenue Q) is a native New Yorker who has been performing since she could walk. A CMU Grad, her cabaret show, "They Shoot Asian Fosse Dancers, Don't They" has been seen in NY, LA, and Sydney, Australia. She's shot pilots for Bravo, AMC, and was chosen by both FOX and CBS for their Diversity Showcases. Her theater credits include Madame Liang in the 50th Anniversary Production of Flower Drum Song directed by Gabriel Barre, Lady Thiang in King & I, and the Pre-Bway workshop of Honeymoon in Vegas, to name a few. TV credits include NYPD Blue and this season's Damages. On the big screen, the award winning SCREENING PARTY and upcoming THE MIKADO PROJECT. Her second feature script is going into production in April, and she would like a nap sometime in the next decade. www.erinquill.com

Paul Oakley Stovall is thrilled and honored to perform at the inaugural show of the "Out of the Ensemble". As an actor, Mr. Stovall has been seen in NYC off Broadway at Lincoln Center and 2ST, and regionally all over the country. Paul has also performed his original music nationwide and in Munich, Cannes, Tokyo, Stockholm and beyond. A writer, Paul has had three plays produced and his new (and first) musical CLEAR, recently debuted in a developmental reading at Joe's Pub. In his "spare" time, he works as an Advance Associate for the White House. Yes, THAT White House.
