On Monday, January 14 New York Theatre Barn will kick off
2008 with its monthly series dedicated to promoting new writers, composers and
performers, "NYTB at the Duplex."
The evening will begin with a new cabaret from
singer/songwriter Dani Rhodes entitled On
The Rhodes of Love.
Following Dani Rhodes will be a new concert developed and
directed by New York Theatre Barn's Producing Artistic Director Joe Barros, Not Quite Junk… In the Trunk, to feature
music which has been cut from some of your favorite musicals and some that will
soon will be. Cut songs from the musicals Wicked,
The Last 5 Years, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pippin, Once on This Island,
Side Show, Next to Normal, and I Married
Wyatt Earp will be presented by Lisa Howard (Spelling Bee), Joe Cassidy (Dirty
Rotten Scoundrels), Nick Adams (A
Chorus Line), Stanley Bahorek (Spelling
Bee), Jared Gertner (Spelling Bee),
Sheilah Rae (Applause), Anna Ty
Bergman, Tori Scott, Cait Doyle and Jeremy Pasha with music direction by Chris
Kong.
NYTB at the Duplex is the continuation of New York Theatre
Barn's previous series, NYTB in the D-Lounge, which took place at the Daryl
Roth D-Lounge each month. NYTB at the Duplex will continue to highlight new
composers, writers and performers each month and will be the first step for
projects that will continue to be developed by New York Theatre Barn. Please
