Marilyn Maye, Adam Pascal, Caissie Levy and More Set for 54 Below, Now thru 3/10

BACKSTAGE, Mar. 5 at 10:30PM:
Each week, Broadway cast members and audiences alike gather to mix and mingle at 54 Below, Broadway's most intimate haunt, located in the heart of the theatre district. Musical Director Brad Simmons keeps the house jumping from the piano, while host Susie Mosher (the love child of Joanne Worley & Paul Lynde) guides the crowd through an evening of music, mayhem and full throttle belting. Special guests from hit Broadway shows drop in to perform and answer the question on everyone's minds, "what happened in each week to sing everything from Schwartz to Sondheim." You might even get up and sing yourself if you're feeling brave, or brave, or relax with a cocktail and some sliders - the night belongs to you! NPR had this to say "The best thing happening right now might just be the weekly Backstage. Hosted by the ridiculously funny Susie Mosher, with guest host Emily McNamara and pianist Brad Simmons who clearly is the man, it's two feel-good hours among New York's theater people, who seem like they're having a really fine time. Can't recommend it highly enough!" At this weeks Backstage is, Adam Feldman (President of the New York Drama Critics Circle, theater and cabaret critic for Time Out New York), Stone and Stone (comedy duo from NBC's "Last Comic Standing"), Becca Ayers (from Broadway's The Addams Family, South Pacific, and Les Miserables), Cortney Wolfson (from Broadway's The Addams Family, and Les Miserables), Ben Roseberry (Broadway and National Tour of The Lion King and National Tour of Rent), Rachel Filsoof (from the reality show "The Next Big Thing" on the Oxygen Network). No cover charge. $20 food & beverage minimum.

LATE NIGHT AT 54 BELOW, Mar. 6 at 11PM:
On Wednesday, Late Night at 54 Below will be the place to see up-and-coming New York talent: including comedians, musicians, songwriters and improv groups. Each week will feature a different new New York artist; so visit our calendar to see what this Wednesday has in store for you. No cover charge. $20 food & beverage minimum.

Charles Busch, Mar. 7 at 9:30PM:
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Whether he's playing a Westchester housewife who's preparing her cabaret tribute to Edith Piaf, Cinderella's much maligned stepmother in the style of MildrEd Pierce, or the tough but warm-hearted owner of a speakeasy, performance legend Charles Busch continues to delight and redefine his craft as a master humorist, illusionist, and camp icon. The author of dozens of hit plays (Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Red Scare on Sunset, Flipping My Wig, Times Square Angel, Our Leading Lady, The Third Story, Die! Mommie! Die!, Psycho Beach Party, The Divine Sister, and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom to name but a few), Busch makes his 54 Below debut for two very special year end performances, joined by Musical Director Tom Judson. Expect laughter, music, tears, and sequins. But no boas. Cover charge $30-40. $25 food & beverage minimum.

54 PIANO BAR, Mar. 7 at 11PM:
On Thursdays at 11 pm, pick a song and join our house pianist as you take your turn on the stage at 54 Piano Bar. See new Broadway talent perform on a whim, and perhaps take part in the ever-popular (and inevitable) audience sing along. No cover charge. $20 food & beverage minimum.

WALKING THE LINE- MUSIC OF Johnny Cash, Mar. 8 at 11PM:
Playing the most loved hits and some rare gems of the Johnny Cash songbook, while recreating the look, feel, and flow of a Johnny Cash concert, Walking the Line celebrates material from every decade of Cash's legendary career. If you love the music of Johnny Cash but never got to see him live, this is as real as a fan can get. And if you were lucky enough to see Cash live, you'll appreciate Walking the Line all the more when you see and hear this most accurate recreation. Playing the part of Johnny Cash is Tom Cavanagh of Broadway's Rock of Ages. Best of all, the seven-piece band comes complete with three Carter Sisters! Cover charge $20-30. $25 food & beverage minimum.

Adam Pascal, Mar. 10 at 7PM:
Back by popular demand! 54 Below is delighted to re-welcome Adam Pascal for one night only. An alumnus of the Broadway casts of Aida, Cabaret, and, of course, the role that started it all (in addition to bringing him a Tony nomination), Rent, Adam presents an evening of his own original music, as well as fresh renditions of some of the music he has stamped so indelibly during his varied appearances on the Great White Way. Cover charge $35-45. $25 food & beverage minimum.

Caissie Levy, Mar. 10 at 9:30PM:
Broadway's Caissie Levy makes her NYC cabaret debut in a show featuring the folk, pop and rock tunes of the 60's, 70's, & today. Celebrating her brand new CD, With You, Caissie's appearance at 54 Below of course includes fresh takes on tunes from her growing catalogue of Broadway show credits: Ghost, Hair, Wicked, Hairspray, & Rent! www.caissielevy.com Cover charge $25-35. $25 food & beverage minimum.
