Jamie deRoy & Friends Host Performance at 54 Below Tonight, July 16

Join celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy when she hosts an evening of her multi- MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends, tonight, July 16th (7PM) at the brand new Broadway nightclub, 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street ~ btw. 7th & 8th Avenues).

Joining Jamie on this summer evening will be: Drama Desk and MAC Award nominated actress Christina Bianco (Newsical The Musical); one of the country’s most popular standup comedians, Emmy Award- winner Kevin Meaney; multi-platinum award winning recording artist and songwriter David Pomeranz ; and original "Jersey Boys" cast member (Bob Gaudio role) and heart-throb concert singer Daniel Reichard. Ron Abel will serve as musical director along with Tom Hubbard on bass, and Barry Kleinbort will direct.

The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 21 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater, and comedy worlds.

Jamie deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Back Stage Bistro Awards, ten Telly Awards and CaB Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her extensive work on both stage and screen. Jamie has appeared on stage with Joan Rivers and has headlined at many of New York’s major clubs. She has produced nine CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series on Harbinger and PS Classics labels. Her theatre producing credits include: Nice Work if You Can Get It, Peter and the Starcatcher, Mother F**ker with a Hat, Catch Me If You Can, The Addams Family, Lend Me A Tenor, Finian's Rainbow, Ragtime, Enron, A Behanding In Spokane and The Norman Conquests (TONY, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards winner for Best Play Revival). On stage, Jamie appeared with Rene Auberjonois in The Threepenny Opera, as well as in The Drunkard with musical direction by Barry Manilow.
