Darren Ritchie, Justin Matthew Sargent and More Set for BROADWAY ROX, 10/27 & 28

Nederlander Worldwide Productions, under the direction of Robert Nederlander, Jr., has announced a new theatrical event: BROADWAY ROX. BROADWAY ROX is a live concert celebrating the rock and pop hits of Broadway, featuring American Idol star Shannon Magrane.

Singers from Broadway and television will perform BROADWAY ROX, which features a five-piece rock band. After a sold-out run in the spring of this year, BROADWAY ROX will play a special return engagement for three shows only at the Queens Theatre on Saturday, October 27th at 2:00 pm & 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 28th at 5:00 pm. Tickets are $35 each and are available online at www.queenstheatre.org/broadway-rox and in person at the Queens Theatre Box Office (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). BROADWAY ROX recently embarked on its fall tour, with performances at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville, FL, the Bartlesville Community Center in Bartlesville, OK, the Ross Perot Theatre in Texarkana, and West Point’s Eisenhower Hall.

Performing Broadway favorites such as “Take A Chance On Me” (Mamma Mia), “Defying Gravity” (Wicked), Pinball Wizard (The Who’s Tommy), “Seasons of Love” (RENT), “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” (Jersey Boys), and many others are Broadway stars Shannon Magrane (FOX’s American Idol), Dustin Brayley (RENT), Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia, Wicked)), Darren Ritchie (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bells Are Ringing, Little Shop of Horrors), Shelley Thomas (RENT, Brooklyn the Musical), and Justin Matthew Sargent (Rock of Ages, Bonnie and Clyde). BROADWAY ROX is a creative collaboration conceived by Jason Howland, Broadway star and Trans-Siberian Orchestra Lead Singer Rob Evan, Tony Award®-nominated Broadway Producer Rich Affannato and Broadway Manager, Thom Schilling (original concept by Rob Evan and Thom Schilling). The show features brand new, exciting musical arrangements created by Broadway composer and musical director, Jason Howland (Little Women, Jekyll & Hyde, Flashdance). Rob Evan and Rich Affannato direct the concert.
