BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
This Thursday, May 10th Broadway Sessions will welcome Tony nominee Chad Kimball and Russell Fisher.
Chad Kimball received a Tony Award nomination for his performance as Huey Calhoun in the hit musical Memphis. Kimball created the role in productions at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theater and The La Jolla Playhouse (San Diego Critics Circle award for Best Leading Male performance in a Musical). Other Broadway credits include Into the Woods, Lennon, The Civil War and Good Vibrations. Off Broadway: Finians Rainbow, My Life with Albertine and Godspell. Chad received a Bistro Award for his solo show at Ars Nova which he reprised at Joe’s Pub. Chad will be starring in the upcoming M is for Murder at the 59E59 Theater.
Russell Fisher currently stars as Joey (Frankie u/s) in the Broadway smash Jersey Boys. Russell will make his cabaret debut in Russell Fisher:Uncharted, Monday May 14th at 7:30 pm at The Triad
The show will begin at a special time, 11:30 pm, this week only; Open Mic party follows the show til 2 am.
Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42nd street and 9th avenue). 212-695-6909.
