"Broadway Backwards 3" (BB3) will showcase a diverse cast of
male singers performing songs traditionally performed by female singers, and
vice versa. For two years, the theatre community has demonstrated its support
for the Center with this one-night-only, star-studded Broadway benefit concert.
The evening features classic show tunes with a twist -in past years Betty
Buckley delivered a tender rendition of "Some Enchanted Evening" from
South Pacific, while Richard Kind
sang "Ulla's Song" from The
Producers. And who can forget Matt Cavenaugh and Cheyenne Jackson's
performance of "We Kiss in a Shadow," named Best Dynamic Duet of 2006
by Playbill.
