BROADWAY SESSIONS to Celebrate Valentine's Day with Broadway Couples, 2/14

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

This Thursday, February 14th Broadway Sessions will celebrate Valentines day with performances by real life Broadway couples Jesse Swimm and Ellen Harvey, Clyde Alves and Robyn Hurder, and Nicolas Dromard and Gabrielle Ruiz.

Jesse Swimm is currently featured in the Broadway company of Mary Poppins. Ellen Harvey currewntly plays Mme. Giry in Phantom of the Opera. Harvey has also appeared on Broadway in How to Succeed...(Miss Jones) and was recently featured in the Shakespeare in the Park production of Into the Woods (Cinderella's Stepmother)

Clyde Alves has appeared on Broadway in Anything Goes, Wicked, Hairspray, Wicked and The Music Man (Astaire award winner). Robyn Hurder is currently featured in Nice Work if You Can Get It. She has also appeared on Broadway in Chicago and Grease (Marty).

Nicolas Dromard currently stars as Bert in Mary Poppins. He has also appeared in Wicked (SF, Fiyero), The Boy from Oz and Oklahoma. Gabrielle Ruiz has appeared on Broadway in Evita and In The Heights. She has also appeared as DiAna Morales in A Chorus Line both on tour and at Paper Mill.

The evening will also feature performances by singer Tania Taylor Powers. Open mic party follows the show till 2 am. The evening will also feature special guest co-host Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots).

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 West 42nd Street (corner of 42nd Street and 9th Avenue). 212-695-6909.
